We often see PCs running outdated version of Microsoft Office on them. The question is: do you spend $250 (or more) for a new copy OR do you switch to a subscription? I usually would go for the ‘rip the band-aid’ method and say just spend the $250 and get a new copy. However, there is something to be said about the subscription model. By choosing the subscription, your Office apps are always up to date. If a new version comes out you automatically get the newest version. You also get the OneDrive app for cloud storage and backup. Microsoft 365 apps for business include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, and OneDrive.
There are two ways to purchase a Microsoft 365 subscription–monthly or annually. The nice thing about monthly is most people don’t notice $8.25 per month–most trips to McDonald’s cost more! And annually is good to for convenience. At the end of the day, $99/year is a reasonable price to pay for software you use every day.
